The work

Garments built from fabric pulled apart and put back together, and hand knitting worked at a scale a machine will not hold.

Notes

All-over fraying has a limit. Take a weave far enough and it is thread; stop one pass earlier and it is still a garment, structurally, wearable, and visibly about to fail. That last pass before failure is the piece.

The knitted work runs the opposite way. Made by hand over weeks, so the tension shifts as the maker does, and it stays visible in the finished garment. Tighter where the concentration held and looser where it did not.

Neither is corrected afterwards.
